Compt. Nnadi shines with huge revenue returns

The Tin Can Island Port Customs Command under the able leadership of Comptroller Dera Nnadi(MNI) is celebrating the high revenue returns it has earned so far earned this year.
Speaking when the new Executive Council of the League of Maritime Editors(LOME) paid him a courtesy call in his office, Compt Nnadi said that his Command has garnered a whopping sum of #986.3bn between January and October this year. The Command’s revenue target for this year is(2024) is #1.4 trillion.
Obviously, Nnadi’s Command is sure to over shoot its revenue target for this year.
The Command generated about #716.4bn last fiscal year. “What this means is that though the is yet to end,we have surpassed last year’s revenue collection “, the TCIP Customs boss stated.
He also said that his Command equally said that his Command recorded massive seizures during that period. The Duty paid value(DPV) value of the seizures is about#4.5billion.
“This is also significant considering that within the period in 2023, we seized contraband worth over #1.5 billion.
” It means we surpassed last year’s seizures value by about #3.4billion”
He commended the Comptroller General, Alhaji Badhir Adewale Adeniyi(MFR), for giving them all the motivation that have assisted them in carrying out their onerous tasks.
Nnadi also commended the officers and staff of his Command as well as stakeholders who paid appropriate import duties recorded by his Command
Speaking earlier, League’s new President, Mrs Remi Itie said that the purpose of visit was to introduce the new EXCO to the Command.
She said that she was surprised at the Comptroller ‘s achievements so at Tin Can Customs Command judging from his performance when he was at Seme Border Command.
She promised that League members will not disappoint the Command’s helmsman.
