Mbaitoli Media Vanguard Advocates for Infrastructural Development Amidst Ongoing Neglect

The Mbaitoli Media Vanguard, a coalition of media professionals and concerned entrepreneurs committed to advancing the interests of Mbaitoli, strongly expresses its dismay over the continuous neglect of the region in terms of crucial infrastructural development.

In a fervent appeal, the Mbaitoli Media Vanguard highlights the recurring pattern where politicians leverage the support of the Mbaitoli community during elections, only to renege on promises post-election, resulting in a severe lack of essential amenities for the citizens.

A case in point is the appointment of Mr. Madumere as the state deputy governor during Governor Rochas Okorocha’s tenure. Despite holding this significant position, Mbaitoli has witnessed a marked absence of governmental attention, leading to dilapidated infrastructure and impassable roads, including the once-symbolic Ukwuorji to Atta Ikeduru route, now overtaken by neglect and erosion. The Orie Ogbaku, being visibly shabby on the major Owerri/Onitsha road needs a real facelift and upgrading.

The Mbaitoli Media Vanguard questions the rationale behind this prolonged neglect, emphasizing the need for accountability from elected leaders. “Our people have been neglected for too long, and it is time for us to feel the impact of good governance,” asserts the Vanguard.

Addressing the current Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Mbaitoli Media Vanguard fervently appeals for the prioritization of comprehensive road construction within the region. The deplorable state of Mbaitoli’s roads not only impedes local movement but also hampers economic activities crucial for community development. Urging the allocation of immediate funds and a commitment to timely project completion, the Vanguard seeks tangible actions to remedy the longstanding infrastructure deficit.

While extending congratulations to Governor Hope Uzodinma and his deputy on their victory in the recent governorship election, the Mbaitoli Media Vanguard emphasizes that having a second deputy governor from Mbaitoli is insufficient compensation. The Vanguard calls for concrete measures to redress the historical neglect and uplift the community through strategic development initiatives.
